Hertzog (born March 20, 1881) had a voluminous career in education and public service. He was enrolled at Lafayette College from 1900 to 1902. He was Director of American Historical Research and in charge of radio programs for the Los Angeles City Schools. Additionally, he served as an economic adviser to Mexico and participated in several Mexican archaeological expeditions.
